Safety Course in San Juan Capistrano, California

I’m stuck on a page; the computer won’t let me go forward, what should I do?
Some pages have questions. Each of these questions must be answered before you can continue with the class. At the top of the following page you will be given feedback about that question. The chapters are timed with a minimum of time needed to be spent reading and reviewing them. If you have finished a chapter before that time is up, you will be timed out from taking the quiz and moving on to the next chapter. Also, you are required to pass each chapter quiz with a score of 70% or better. If you do not achieve that score, you cannot move on until you retake the quiz and pass it.
I have successfully finished the class. What do I need to do now?
The court will be electronically notified of your successful completion. If you would like to verify that the court has received your completion you will need to contact the court directly.
What is an Address VerificationMismatch when I try to pay for my class?
In order to reduce credit card fraud we use a series of security measures including matching the billing address of your credit card against the information you give us when you sign up for a class. If the billing address on your card does not match what was given to us when you attempted to sign up for the class your card will be declined and we will not take money from your account. However we have to contact your bank so that we can run this check and therefore your bank may or may not put a hold on your funds even if your card is declined in this manner. Since we will not actually take the money from your account your bank will release the hold after generally 24-48 hours depending on your bank. If you do get this error when trying to enroll in one of our classes we recommend that you call your bank to make sure their records are up to date and complete and then call us to make sure that your money is not unnecessarily tied up.
When can the class be taken?
Since this is an on-line class, you can take your class 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How is the class given?

There are questions interspersed throughout the text. Each will refer to the section immediately previous to it and will help reinforce what you have just learned. Keep in mind that more than one answer may be correct. You must choose the most correct answer. These questions are not scored. If you give an incorrect answer, you will have an opportunity to review the material and be better prepared for the chapter quiz and the final exam.

There will be a quiz at the end of each section. This quiz is scored. You will need a score of 70% or better in order to proceed. You can take the quiz as many times as you need and can refer to the material in the chapter to achieve that score. It serves as a guide as to what you are learning and where you may need to spend more time reviewing the material.

None of the final exam questions will be the same questions from within the body of the course.

How do I log off?
You do not need to do anything special to log off. Our computer remembers where you are in the class, so you can leave the course at any time. When you log back on using the email address and password you used when you first registered on our site, the computer will take you back to the last page you viewed.
What happens if I get disconnected from the class?
Our computer keeps track of your progress through the class, so that if you get disconnected all you need to do is log back on using the email address and password you gave us when you first registered on our site.
I failed the final exam. What do I do now?
You must pass the final exam with a score of 70% or better. If you fail to receive a score of 70% or better, you may re-take a new exam based on the same topics. If you fail to pass this second final exam, you may enroll in another Traffic Violator School course.
The computer forgets the answers I put in, what’s going on?
During the instructional material we may give you questions based on the particular page you are on. Although you have to answer these questions in order to continue these questions are neither graded nor are they reported to anyone. We believe that slowing down to answer questions enhances the learning process.
How do I find out how I did on the test? How do I find out which questions I missed?
Once you achieve a score of 70% or better, the computer will tell you which questions you answered correctly and which questions you did not. If you do not pass the final exam the computer will report to you how you did on the following page.
What is Identity Verification?
The State of California requires identity verification for online traffic courses. In this course your identity will be verified using security questions while in the course. During enrollment you will answer the security questions and must respond with the same personal answers throughout the course. If your identity is not able to be verified, you will not be able to complete this online course.
